Birding Trip to Merapoh

Birding Trip to Merapoh

25 Mar 2011

The Selangor Branch Bird Group will be organising a birding trip via the western entrance to Taman Negara – more commonly known as Merapoh. We will be using the 13km long jeep track, which takes hikers to the base of Gunung Tahan,to explore the wonderful birdlife of the Malaysian lowland rainforest.

We will be birdwatching near the Sg Relau Ranger Station and take a jeep ride further along the track to access more birding spots. There won’t be strenuous hiking as we will be walking on the jeep track itself but we may take long walks.

Cost of the trip is RM320 per person and this covers transportation, accommodation, 3 lunches and 3 dinners
and insurance. Limited places – booking on first-come-first served basis with full payment. No refunds for cancellations by participants.

If you are interested, please contact Wilbur Goh (SMS anytime or call after 7 pm) 012-263 5610 or e-mail:
wilbur_goh@yahoo.com latest by 11th March 2011. There will be a pre-trip meeting on 17th March 2010 to arrange carpool, things to bring etc.
